Font and Text
You can adjust the appearance and style of the web pages on this and other sites by adjusting the settings for font size and colour in your browser. If you are using Internet Explorer: go to View, Text size, Larger / Largest. If you are using Firefox: go to Tools, Options, Fonts and Colours.
Printing
If you would like to print a particular page, select File and print from the toolbar at the top of the page. On a PC you can press 'ctrl' and 'p'
Allowing pop ups
Some of our pages have links which open in a separate window. Sometimes browsers such as internet explorer or Mozilla firefox will try to protect your computer by blocking this new window from opening. To enable the link you may be required to 'allow' pop ups. You can do this my selecting tools, and Pop up blocker, then turn off pop up blocker in internet explorer or tools, options, and uncheck the box next to block pop up windows.
Navigation
You can use the browser buttons in the toolbar at the top of the page. Each page has a menu along the top right side which provides links to the main pages within the site.
ALT text
ALT text (alternative text) is information embedded in the web page’s code for pictures and graphics within web sites. It uses words to illustrate the content conveyed by the image for those who want it. You can see the ALT text in the site when you disable images or if you are using alternative output technologies.
Cascading Style Sheets (CSS)
I have used Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) to separate content from the appearance of the site which offers flexibly in a variety of browsers.
